I was appointed Training Manager / WorldSkills Expert in 2008 and trained a competitor for WorldSkills Calgary 2009 who brought home a gold medal.

To assist in the ongoing improvement of vocational skills as an aspirational career path .
What do you enjoy most about your role?:
Seeing the competitors achieve more than they thought possible.
How has this year differed to WorldSkills Calgary 2009?:
I now have a working knowledge of the whole process from start to finish.
How are you using this experience in your workplace?:
I believe I have become a better manager and trainer.

What sets a WS competitor apart from your average young person?:
Their desire to achieve outstanding performances.

Opening it up to a wider audience.

I am a husband and father.
I have won the odd competition so appreciate the effort that goes into them.
