Profile

Michael first discovered CADD whilst studying mechanical engineering at Bridgwater College. He has been intrigued by it ever since and is now pursuing a career in CADD:

"CADD is a mandatory unit within my mechanical engineering course. I enjoy CADD because of the creative emphasis; it is less structured and systematic compared to mechanical engineering."

Michael has learnt that taking part in skills competitions provides a valuable development exercise by testing people whilst outside the comfort of the classroom, and he feels privileged to be selected to compete on the world stage.

Michael sees himself working for a large company as Chief Design Engineer within the next five years.

In his spare time Michael enjoys BMX bike riding, a hobby that has given him the opportunity to travel around the UK as well as Canada, Germany and America.
