"I am always open to learning new techniques that will make me a better car painter, so I’ll be interested to discover how my fellow competitors interpret our trade!"
Profile
It came as no surprise to his family that Jonathan decided to pursue a career in car painting. He has always enjoyed working with cars and was keen to follow in the footsteps of his father who has over 30 years experience within the car painting industry. Jonathan views WorldSkills 2007 as his opportunity to make a name for himself:
"Doing well at WorldSkills 2007 is certain to help build my professional reputation. My dad will always be my role model because he still gets pride and satisfaction out of car painting after all these years. It is important for me to be able to stand on my own two feet and be successful in my own right and competing in WorldSkills will help me achieve that."
In his spare time Jonathan enjoys cycling and motor sports.
