Profile

 

Donna has always found the art of cutting and styling hair a rewarding experience. Whilst her friends at school were undecided on their futures, Donna knew that hers belonged in hairdressing. Her passion for hairdressing thrived after being introduced to skills competitions by her employer:

"Competing has had a positive effect on me, both on a personal and professional level. I've learnt new things about myself and I am a more confident hairdresser."

Following her selection to represent the UK, Donna will be preparing right up until WorldSkills 2007. As well as working with her training manager, Donna has competed at the Organisation Mondiale de la Coiffure European Hairdressers' Championships in May and will compete at another international skills competition in Paris in September.

In her spare time Donna enjoys socialising with friends and shopping.

Competition Requirements

 

Donna will compete in the combined ladies and men's hairdressing competition. She will be judged on a variety of hair cutting techniques; perm waving, hair colouring, styling and beard design.
