The world’s largest international skills competition, WorldSkills London 2011, reached its conclusion this evening and was rounded off with a glittering Closing Ceremony, held at London’s famous O2 Arena.

Packed with 8000 guests from across the globe including all 43 members of Team UK and their many supporters, the Ceremony was a dynamic and exciting show that celebrated the achievements of all competitors at WorldSkills London 2011.

For Team UK, the four exciting days spent competing at WorldSkills, represented the culmination of up to four years hard work. Each team member completed an intense training and development programme so that they could reach the standard required to compete on an international stage.

None of the training opportunities for Team UK would have been made possible without the invaluable support that competitors receive from their friends, family, colleges, employers, Training Managers and sponsors. The National Apprenticeship service would like to extend its acknowledgement and thanks to everyone who has supported Team UK on their journey to WorldSkills London 2011.
