What made you choose this career?: 

My dad made me want to become a restaurateur as he used to be a waiter in a top restaurant in Warsaw.

How did you hear about competitions? : 

I got involved through college. It is a good experience and a good challenge.

What are your biggest personal achievements so far?: 

Getting this far in WorldSkills UK 2011.
Achieving all my NVQ qualifications.
Completing many other catering and bar courses.

What’s your ambition?: 

To become an expert in restaurant service and work in top restaurants around the world.

What are you hoping for by competing for a place at WorldSkills London 2011? : 

To achieve a good place in the competition and have a chance to compete at WorldSkills 2011. I could also get a good job by doing this competition.

What do your family and friends think about you competing?: 

They are really proud of me and support me in every way possible.

What would you say to other young people considering a vocational career?: 

It is for people who like to be ‘hands on’. It is an excellent journey as you will be able to meet a lot of new people and make a career anywhere in the world.

What do you think getting involved in international competitions could do for your career?: 

It is a huge step forward in my career. It proves that I have good skills and knowledge which could potentially be used by employers.

Something we didn’t know about you...: 

I really like travelling and sightseeing. I like that training sessions take place in various parts of the country - it is very exciting.
