What made you choose this career?:
I was interested in pipe work and the workings of motors and the electrics.
How did you hear about competitions? :
I heard about competitions through my college teacher and was asked to give it a go.
What’s your ambition?:
To travel around the world and to make the most out of life.
What are you hoping for by competing for a place at WorldSkills London 2011? :
I am hoping to prove to everyone how hard working I am. I am really hoping for a medal.
What do your family and friends think about you competing?:
They are very supportive and proud.
What would you say to other young people considering a vocational career?:
Give it a try because you won’t know until you try.
What do you think getting involved in international competitions could do for your career?:
It is one more thing to put on the CV so it can only get better.

I love water sports and running marathons.
