What made you choose this career?: 

I have always been interested in cars so I did two weeks work experience in the trade. I was then offered an apprenticeship.

How did you hear about competitions? : 

I completed in Young Panel Technician of the Year and was told about the WorldSkills competition and its opportunities.

What are your biggest personal achievements so far?: 

Being a finalist for Young Panel Technician of the Year and completing my apprenticeship.

What’s your ambition?: 

To work on prestige cars and one day manage my own bodyshop.

What are you hoping for by competing for a place at WorldSkills London 2011? : 

I am hoping to be the best that I can be and open doors of opportunity for my career.

What do your family and friends think about you competing?: 

My family and friends are really proud of me and offer their full support.

What would you say to other young people considering a vocational career?: 

I would recommend it to anyone, getting paid whilst you learn and enjoying the job is the way forward.

What do you think getting involved in international competitions could do for your career?: 

My career would take off as I would be showing everyone that I have World Class skills.

Something we didn’t know about you...: 

I enjoy keeping fit and going to the gym. I like challenging myself and pushing myself to achieve my goals in all aspects of my life.
