Grew up around the home landscaping business, and enjoy the challenges and range of tasks involved.

How did you hear about competitions? : 

Was entered into regional heat by lecturer at CAFRE.

What are your biggest personal achievements so far?: 
  • Being selected to represent the college at the competition.
  • Winning UK National final.
What’s your ambition?: 

To win Gold at WorldSkills and become the best at trade and to be successful in developing home business.

What are you hoping for by competing for a place at WorldSkills London 2011? : 

Develop practical skills and continue to learn new techniques that will be useful at home business.

What do your family and friends think about you competing?: 

They think it is a good opportunity and have been very supportive so far.

What would you say to other young people considering a vocational career?: 

I would encourage them to go for it.

What do you think getting involved in international competitions could do for your career?: 

It would be a good opportunity to make a name for myself and get more work.

I like fishing and shooting.
