What made you choose this career?:

I didn’t know what I wanted to do so I did a Saturday job at a little salon and fell in love with it.

How did you hear about competitions? :

My boss helps with skills training and some girls from the salon have been entered in the past and done very well. So she entered me as I was interested and here I am.

Just getting this far is a big achievement for me.

To become the best I can be in my skill.

An amazing experience, getting to meet new people and possibly coming away with an extra qualification  or medal.

What do your family and friends think about you competing?:

My parents are really interested and supportive whereas my friends don’t have a clue.

What would you say to other young people considering a vocational career?:

Whatever opportunities arise grab them with both hands; you never know what will come from them.

What do you think getting involved in international competitions could do for your career?:

Experience is everything so international competitions would look pretty good on your CV.
